Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

REQUIREMENTS

•  Operation of forklift and/or pallet jack in a safe, efficient, and precise manner

     -Complete & pass OSHA approved forklift certification test
•Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide)
• Strong communications skill

     -Ability to communicate and understand English speaking supervision and/or co-workers

     -Read and understand English documents
• Work in a 34-36°F environment
• Work Monday to Saturday (and occasional Sundays)

     -Work day or night shift

     -Work in all weather conditions
• Knowledge in operating machinery and equipment required to perform essential job functions including, but not limited to: forklift, scan gun, tectrol machine, cooling equipment, etc.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Self-starter, self-motivated, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Regular and consistent attendance mandatory
• Safety conscious
• Work in a fast paced team oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform pre-op forklift inspection, complete inspection report, and report any issues to supervision
• Sign-out for required equipment, i.e., Bluetooth probe, scan gun to perform essential job functions
• Merge partial pallets of like product (weighing up to 50 lbs.)

     -Manually palletize

     -Use scan gun to merge partial pallets

     -Secure pallet with stretch film before shipment
• Proper operation of equipment to cool product, including, but not limited to the following.

      -Load in-feed conveyor with proper product and/or pull product from outfeed conveyor for direct loading.

     -Set-up of product for placement on Tectrol machine.
• Assist with Forklift Coldbox essential job functions

     -Proper storage, organization, and/or rotation of product using FIFO system

     -Monitor temperatures and rotate product into and out of cooling equipment

     -Inventory and control quantities of materials/products
• Assist with General Labor and Material Handler essential job functions, when needed
• Repackage product, stack and re-stack cartons
• Maintain all work areas clean and organized including, but not limited to, partial pallet area
• Manually move and manipulate pallets.
• Follow all verbal and written instructions from company supervision
• Understand and follow all company rules and regulations, including but not limited to:

     -Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

     -D’Arrigo Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

     -Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)

     -Driscoll’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

     -Attendance, Work, and Safety Rules

     -Food Safety and Hygiene Policy
