Summary/objective:
This individual performs various payroll functions essential to processing payroll. Day to day activities require the use of initiative and judgment, particularly when prioritizing work or working with forepersons, supervisors, and hourly employees. Must be discreet working with employee confidential information. This position is year-round in Yuma, no seasonal travel.

Payroll duties:
- Process high-volume weekly payroll
- Compile payroll data such as units harvested, hours worked, and harvest bonus to enter and calculate gross wages for assigned commodities
- Reconcile all payroll reports prior to entering any data into Great Plains
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Distribute payroll checks to foreperson
- Reconcile weekly sign-out sheets and checks that are returned to the office
- Cross – train in all commodities, able to assist others as requested by your manager
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, verifying, and calculating payroll data
- Assist foreperson, supervisors and management by providing payroll information as requested
- Assist employees by providing payroll information regarding their specific payroll data
- Maintains employee and department confidentiality
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing common department goals
- Reconcile contract labor invoices forwarding to Accounts Payable for payment.
- Consistent attendance is mandatory

Work environment:
- Indoor
- Fulltime, Monday through Friday and may include overtime and Saturdays, 7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm

Travel required:
- Rare travel, no day trips to Mexico, rare overnight travel
Required education and experience:
- Knowledge of general payroll related regulations and procedures and general accounting practices and procedures
- Operation of standard office equipment, including personal computers, fax machine and scanner
- Working knowledge and experience with Outlook, Excel and Word
- Must possess strong data entry skills with speed and accuracy
- Strong 10 key calculator skills
- Must be bilingual and biliterate in English/Spanish
- Excellent customer service skills on the phone and in person
- Organized team player who works well with a variety of people with a minimum of supervision
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure while managing multiple tasks
- All duties are to be performed and completed in a timely manner and per Company protocol.

Preferred education and experience:
- 1+ years of the required experience
- Prior payroll experience in the produce industry a plus but not necessary
