Pay Rate: $19.50/hour

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Operation of forklift in a safe, efficient and precise manner with strong forklift skills
    • Complete and pass an OSHA forklift certification test
  • Previous produce loading experience
    • Familiar with loading manifests
    • Read and understand documents
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide)
    Strong communications skill

    • Communicate with supervision and/or truck drivers
  • Work in a 34-36°F cold environment
  • Work Monday to Saturday with occasional Sundays
    • Work day or night shift
    • Work in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge in operating machinery and equipment required to perform essential job functions including, but not limited to, forklifts, scan guns, Bluetooth probes, forced air tunnels, dock plates, truck restraints, dock levelers, etc.
  • Safely lift up to 50 pound
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform pre-op inspection of forklift, complete inspection report(s) and report any issues to supervision
  • Sign-out for necessary equipment required to perform essential job functions
  • Represent the Company to outside personnel in a professional and polite manner
  • Correctly load product(s) as follows:
    • Visually inspect trailers for cleanliness and/or any damage
    • By commodity, size and quantity using scan gun
    • Using the first in, first out (FIFO) system
    • Correct configuration and weight balance
  • Assist with merging and scanning partial pallets
  • Conduct product inventory
  • Manually stack and re-stack cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Manually move and manipulate pallets
  • Maintain all work areas clean
  • Follow all verbal and written instructions from company supervision
  • Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned by Supervision

    • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
    • D’Arrigo Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
    • Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)

  • Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned by Supervision
