Summary Objective

The purpose of the Battery changer is to assist the shipping operation by making sure forklifts have their batteries rotated in a timely manner. Battery changers should also keep the forklift fleet in the designated parking areas when not in use, and report any faulty equipment to proper supervision. Upkeep of the battery room and miscellaneous duties assigned by the supervisor shall be done in between battery rotations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Operate forklift
  • Operate battery changing machine
  • Keep forklift parking area organized and clean
  • Report any equipment mechanical issues or abuse
  • Keep forklift inspection station clear and clean

Requirements

  • Complete & pass company forklift certification test
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Basic forklift mechanical understanding to be able to report any issues

Physical Demands

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays and Sundays
  • Regular and consistent attendance mandatory

Pay Rate:

$22.75 per hour
