Summary/objective:

Under supervision of the Shipping Manager, Supervisors and Forepersons, this position performs various Shipping Office functions related to checking truck drivers in and out, communicating with various internal departments and personnel, and providing truck driver assistance on the phone and in person.

  • Verify receiving tags are accurately being received with correct quantities, item numbers, and varieties
  • PHYTO’s – Create certificates for all export orders and manage funds by communicating with Driscoll personnel
  • Food Bank –Verify all product gets shipped to the appropriate Food Bank. This includes completing checklist form with license tags, quantities, and item numbers
  • After shipping the product, the person in this role files all the paperwork in the appropriate binder and input data through Driscoll’s shared drive.
  • Mexico labels – Print Mexico labels for the growers to take back to the fields
  • Fumigation orders – Create and manage transfer orders for shipment to Crowley location.
  • Mexico/Canada Transfers – Complete checklist of inspection upon truck arrival
  • Consistent attendance is mandatory
  • Other job duties as assigned

Required education and experience:

  • Dispatch Experience – Training for backup dispatcher
  • Must possess office administration skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills on the phone and in person
  • Computer data entry experience
  • Operation of office equipment, including computers, photocopier, scanner, fax machine
  • Must be bilingual and biliterate in English/Spanish
  • Must have CA driver’s license and clean driving record
