Summary/objective:

Under the direction of the Production Assistant Supervisor, this individual collaborates in managing in-house thinning and hoeing labor crews.

  • Uses electronic scheduling programs to schedule, track, and document assigned labor crews
  • Responsible for coordinating deployment of company crew personnel
  • Communicates labor needs with management throughout the growing season
  • Provides quality control of thinning and hoeing operations
  • Enforces all food safety and safety department protocols
  • Assists management with trials and special projects
  • Drives company bus to transport thinning and hoe employees

Travel required:

Required education and experience:

  • Experience in employee supervision
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Environmental Protection Act (EPA) Worker Protection Standards (WPS) regulations and standards
  • Valid Class A or B California Driver’s License
  • Bilingual and biliterate in English/Spanish
  • Practical knowledge of row crops
  • Operation of standard office equipment, including personal computers, tablets, and appropriate software such as Windows, MS Word and Excel
  • Regular and consistent attendance mandatory
